Using Health Check
Health Check allows you to determine periodically the operational state of SNC connections to the
interfaces it controls. When the Health Check is disabled, the SNC performs no periodic checks beyond
monitoring environmental status lines, which indicate power supply and temperature conditions. The Health
Check function posts SNMP traps when required to convey status information to the user interface.
Performing Health Check
The Perform Health Check command requests an immediate health check at the current level specified.
This check is performed regardless of the Health Check Interval setting.
1 Right-click an appliance in the navigation panel or the graphical panel.
2 Select the Health Check menu, then select Perform Health Check.
Unless you have reset the level, Health Check is performed at the Interface Test level. Refer to Table
3 .
A message posts in the Status/Message area if the test is successful, For example, Successful Health
Check is displayed in this area.
