Rack Dimensions

The rack must be 19 inches wide and at least 30 inches deep. The rack must accommodate rail mounting

lengths between 24 inches and 34 inches.

Rack Mounting Holes

Additionally, the rack must have one of these types of mounting holes:

• Square, unthreaded mounting holes

• Round, unthreaded mounting holes

• Threaded mounting holes for use with 10-32 hardware

• Threaded mounting holes for use with M5 hardware

Rack Space Requirements

Each Pathlight VX configuration has different rack space requirements needed to install the components.

• For the Pathlight VX-450, the rack height can vary, however, the rack must provide 8 contiguous

rack units of space for the 4.2 TB Pathlight VX-450.

• For the Pathlight VX-650, the rack must be 40 rack units high. The vertical requirements of the

Pathlight VX vary from 30 contiguous rack units in the smallest configuration (3.8 TB Entry-Level

Configuration) to 56 rack units in the largest system (71.6 TB High-Performance Configuration).

Several rack space requirements apply to all Pathlight VX configurations.
