4 If the version number is lower than 5.5, upgrade to version 5.5 or 6.0.

Determining Netscape Navigator Browser Version

Use this procedure to determine the Netscape Navigator version used by the customer.

1 On customer network where Pathlight VX will be installed, launch Netscape Navigator.

2 On the menu bar, select Help→ About Netscape.

The About information appears in a Navigator window.

3 Locate the version number at the top of the page.

4 If the version number is lower than 7.0, upgrade to 7.0 or higher.

Planning System Notifications

Completing the tables in this section provides the information necessary to set up system notifications. This

information should be discussed in the Pre-Sales and Pre-Installation call.

Table 15

assists in gathering and recording user account information.

• The Password column exists in the table only as a reminder that the GUI prompts for a password

for each account that is set up. The best practice is to avoid recording account passwords anywhere

except by entering them in the GUI.

• Valid values for the Privilege column are Administrator or User.
