LDAP 3
The LDAP page allows the user to configure the PX720 library to utilize an
LDAP server.
LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) provides the
ability to access and honor user logins and privileges that are managed in
a centralized LDAP server.
1 To access the LDAP page, from the Setup page, click on the LDAP tab
at the top of the page.
The LDAP page displays (see figure 81).
Subnet Mask*
View or set the subnet mask for the library
Default Gateway*
View or set the default gateway for the library
Obtain IP from
DHCP Server
If your network uses a DHCP server to assign
device IP addresses dynamically, select this box.
When this box is selected, the IP address, subnet
mask, and default gateway fields are greyed out.
Email Server
View or set the email server information
DNS Address
View or set the DNS address

Indicates a required field.
Note: The administrator of the LDAP server should be aware of the
following items:
•An admin user must be a member of both the admin and
operator user groups.
•The secure key administrator (see Secure Users
on page 127)
is only authenticated from the library and should not be
defined on the LDAP server.
