EFirmware Upgrade Instructions
for Stacked Libraries
If Scalar 50 libraries are in a multiple library stack, the library firmware
must be uploaded individually to each cabinet. If you attempt to upload
library firmware to only the Master library in the stack, the slave libraries
may not receive the firmware update properly.
Uploading library firmware to a multiple library stack consists of the
following steps:
• Changing the Library Stack Role
• Uploading Library Firmware
• Returning the Library Stack Role
Note: If your libraries are partitioned, the partitioning information
will be lost after the firmware upgrade. You must recreate the
partitions after the firmware upgrade is complete.
