Uploading Library Firmware
Quantum Scalar 50 User’s Guide 228
The Stack role screen displays.
4 Use the up and down arrows to select Stand alone and press Enter.
The system prompts you with a confirmation screen asking Change to
Standalone and reboot this system?
5 Press Yes.
The library shuts down. Continue with Uploading Library Firmware.
Uploading Library Firmware
After the library stack role is set to Stand alone, you can upload library
firmware to the cabinet.
To upload library firmware:
1 Connect an Ethernet cable to the left-hand Ethernet port on the
library SCB and to a network host on the same subnet as the library
(see
figure 131).
Note: Make note of the original stack role. You must return the
library to its original stack role after the library firmware
has been updated.
Note: If this was the
Master library, there will already be an
Ethernet cable connected to the library SCB.
